A champion of mediocrity, Derek is a native of Virginia, where he mildly amused theatre audiences as The Player in “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead,â€? Albert Peterson in “Bye Bye Birdie,â€? and Thurston Wheelis in “Greater Tuna.â€? Before moving to L.A., Derek was in New York, where he joined the national touring companies of “A Christmas Carol,â€? and “Nicholas Nickerby.â€? Then, (somehow), his rather pedestrian talent earned him the starring role in the hit independent film “Moving,â€? as well as the role of Dad in the children’s television show, “The Knock Knock Show.â€? Derek Leon is not that funny, or charming, or likeable. Please, don’t ruin his image. Thank you.
